Umpire Committee Changes in 2023

Hockey Queensland would like to advise a change to the Umpire Committee for 2023. After reviewing the committee structure in 2022 and what is required to be managed through the HQ Office employees and the Volunteer Committee it has been decided to adopt a new model of an Umpire Appointments Panel.
The Umpire Appointments Panel will focus on the Umpire Coach, Manager and Umpire panels for HQ events. There will be a mandatory requirement that this panel meet in person or online via TEAMS or Zoom, to complete the Appointments and deadlines for providing their recommendations back to the office. The Terms of Reference for this Panel is attached.
Development of Umpires will be coordinated through the Education department at Hockey Queensland. Through this approach a wider group of Umpires to assist in the development pathway can be reached.
