Queenslanders in Australian Hockey5s squads selected for World Cup Qualifiers

Congratulations to our Queenslanders selected in the extended national men’s and women’s Hockey5s squads that will attend a selection camp in Warrnambool on 15-16 April.

Women’s and men’s squads of 20 and 19 players respectively have been selected to attend the camp, which will be used to select the teams to compete at the World Cup Oceania Qualifiers to be held on the Pacific Islands in July. The Hockey5s World Cup is scheduled for Oman in 2024.
The final squads of 12 selected from the camp in Warrnambool will comprise 10 field players and two goalkeepers.
Hockey5s is a fast, highly skilful, short format of hockey designed to be adaptable to multiple surfaces, environments and space. Hockey5s is an invasion game played between two teams with 4 field players and a goalkeeper.
