New Board Members

Hockey Queensland is thrilled to announce the appointments of Aaron Averay and Kendall Gilding to our Board.
Kendall is an Australian journalist, television presenter, MC and ambassador.
She is the presenter of Channel 7’s afternoon news across Queensland and has been a guest news reader on Channel 7’s Sunrise and the Queensland 6pm news bulletin. She has also worked on live coverage of sporting events like David Cup Tennis, Magic Millions and Stradbroke Race Day.
“I am looking forward to working with the board to continue growing the game at a grassroots level - all the way through to our high-performance players!” – Kendall.
Aaron has held leadership roles at the Australian Sports Foundation helping Australian sporting clubs and individuals raise funds for sport, leading teams in strategy development and program creation aimed to increase engagement, participation and revenue.
His strengths are in relationship building and strategic planning, with professional experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, design and events.
