More information about the Project
Existing hockey infrastructure in Brisbane does not meet Federation of International Hockey (FIH) standards. The current venue plan for hockey, set out by the Brisbane Organising Committee for the 2032 Olympic Games, is to place temporary ‘drop-in’ synthetic hockey pitches and stadium infrastructure at Ballymore Stadium.

Hockey Queensland is undertaking a Feasibility Study to present to Government, which identifies the need, benefits, costs, location and essential infrastructure of a permanent venue, which could enable the hosting of national and international events; better support HQ’s High Performance programs; create more playing opportunities for the Brisbane and broader Queensland hockey community; and provide a lasting legacy from the staging of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Otium Planning Group has been engaged to undertake the Feasibility Study. This survey is an important part of the consultation process, to enable the broader hockey community to provide input into the Feasibility Study.
