Hockey Queensland announces Team 100

Published Tue 23 Mar 2021

In 2021, Hockey Queensland is celebrating 100 years of hockey, officially being played in the State with events and special commemorations throughout the year.

Hockey in Queensland has a prolific history of producing highly successful teams and players at the State, National, and International level. Our players have risen to gain Australian honours over many years and continue to lead the way.

Queensland have a proud tradition of celebrating players and members that represent Queensland and those that have achieved high honours - at the National and International level.

To continue this tradition in our 100th year of Hockey in Queensland, ‘Team 100’ was devised.

Hockey Queensland identified the top 50 female and top 50 male players from 1921 – 2021 and conducted a People’s Choice Vote to select the final First XI’s for men and women.

Over 750 votes were submitted from around Australia during March 2021 and today Hockey Queensland is thrilled to announce the - Team 100.
