Hockey QLD receives Bronze Tier rating at Pride In Sport Australia Awards

Hockey Queensland are proud recipients of a Bronze Tier rating from the Pride In Sport Australia Awards. This rating recognises the ongoing work we do in the LGBTIQ+ space.
The awards showcase the results of the Pride in Sport Index (PSI) – a national benchmarking instrument used to access LGBTQ inclusion within Australian sport.
Many thanks to the amazing work and assistance from Pride in Sport Australia. We’re committed to continue our work in this space to make hockey a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Hockey led all sports with nine awards, celebrating the hockey community’s commitment to working in the LGBTQ+ inclusion space.
Congratulations to Hockeyroo #501 Greta Hayes on winning LGBTQ+ Role Model of the Year, with Davis Atkin from Canberra Chill another finalist.

There is a LGBTQ+ Awareness Course our hockey members can take. In the course, you will gain an understanding of why LGBTQ+ inclusion is important and develop a level of comfort around terminology.
