Brisbane Blaze finish second and third in Hockey One League for 2024

The Brisbane Blaze Women headed to their 4th consecutive Grand Final , to defend their 2023 Hockey One League title, but were overrun by the undeafted Perth Thundersticks in Hobart.  

 Four consecutive seasons have seen the team reach the Grand Final with 3 Championship titles.  The team were the first to break the Brisbane sports team drought in 2023 and continued their domination in 2024 finishing 2nd at the end of the round games.

The Brisbane Blaze Men secured Bronze Medal in a physical contest against the Perth Thundersticks. Three-time Olympian Jake Whetton returned to the team for the Finals Series, after a stint in the European leagues bringing a wealth of experience to the team.

With the team at full strength, goals from the three internationals Corey Weyer, Tim Howard and Scott Boyde were enough to secure the Bronze Medal after being at the bottom of the Liberty Hockey One League ladder after Round 5.
