Awards Bestowed At Australian Women’s Masters Championships

Linda Hunter received the Hockey Australia Award of Merit during the Opening Ceremony of the Australian Women’s Masters Championships. Additionally, Hockey Australia honored Linda for her exceptional contributions to Women’s Masters Hockey by renaming the Over 65 Women's Masters Championships Trophy as the Linda Hunter Trophy.
At the same event, Hockey Australia Masters bestowed Australian Masters Service Awards upon Sonya Fisher and Diana Young. Matthew Trounce, the new chair of HAMC, presented these prestigious awards.
These three women have dedicated decades to hockey in Queensland, and these accolades serve as a fitting tribute to their outstanding service. Congratulations and thanks to Linda, Di, and Sonya!
