2024 Australian U16 Championships Wrap Up

The U16 Queensland teams have had another stellar tournament with 4 excellent results out of Hobart.
The Maroon Girls had an undefeated run with a goal difference of 38! The Gold Girls also had a fantastic tournament, but unfortunately the two Queensland sides met in the semi-final.
The Maroon Boys also had a strong run with only a loss in the round matches against NSW. The two teams met in the Gold Medal match, which went down to shoot outs. Some outstanding goal keeping from Dylan Belanyi and goals from Hale, Evans and Fitzpatrick secured the Gold Medal for our boys!
Finally the Gold Boys had some close games and strong wins which sent them to the 7th / 8th playoff against SA, where they finished 8th overall.
Congratulations to our Queensland athletes and to our officials!
