What is the Junior Blaze Program?

The Junior Blaze Program is part of the Brisbane Blaze family and provides quality clinic opportunities available to all junior athletes aged 11 – 17

The program travels state-wide to assist with the development of junior athletes, who are eager to strive for greatness or junior hockey players who simply want to have fun. The program has its own development pathway and does not have interaction or connections with future selections into state teams, only personal athlete growth. The Junior Blaze Program builds connections with junior hockey players and Brisbane Blaze Players to form a closer hockey community.

The Junior Blaze Program is a pay-per-clinic cost and is planned around School Holidays.

Clinics vary from 1-hour to 2-hour sessions depending on the location and time available from the host Association.

The Junior Blaze Program will prioritise clinics conducted on turf fields but clinics can be run on grass fields for Associations that do not have access to turf fields. This will allow Associations in rural areas to apply for funding or government grants to host a clinic for their members or players.

Inclusions
Each clinic includes 2 x Junior Blaze Players of the Day, who will be rewarded with exclusive prizes, including Brisbane Blaze merchandise, free Family Passes to Brisbane Blaze Hockey One home games, and other assorted items.

Player Packs will remain the same which include a Junior Blaze Shirt, Blaze drawstring bag, and lots of Brisbane Blaze fun merchandise and accessories.

Ok, so how can my Association host the program?
Associations are asked to contact the office on hqoffice@hockeyqld.com.au with dates and times you believe would work for your association. The office will arrange all travel/clinic logistics and work with your association to ensure the  program is hosted at your venue.
