Ahead of their Pro League games in Sydney, Great Britain have brought their national teams to Brisbane for a week of training, and to play 3 practice matches at the State Hockey Centre in Colmslie, Brisbane.

Great Britain will take on Hockey Queensland composite teams this weekend, with the women competing on Friday and Saturday nights, and the men lining up on Monday night.
The Hockey Queensland Women’s representative team will include 14 members of the Sultana Bran Hockey One League Champions, the Brisbane Blaze, including Australian Development Squad members Morgan Gallagher, Britt Wilkinson, and Meg Pearce.

Fellow Australian Development Squad members Nicola Hammond from Hockey Club Melbourne and Abby Wilson from NSW Pride will travel to Brisbane to join the line-up against the reigning Olympic champions Great Britain.

Meanwhile the Hockey Queensland Men’s representative team boasts 8 members of the Sultana Bran Hockey One League Silver Medal winners, the Brisbane Blaze, including Australian Development Squad member Matt Finn.

Plus Jake Staines from the Canberra Chill and International athlete Adam Imer who competes for the Brazilian National Team will also join the team.

This is an incredible opportunity for hockey players and sports fans to see international-level hockey, for free in their own backyard.
