Expressions of interest have re-opened due to withdrawals from selected teams for the event. Nominations must be completed before February 18th 6pm.

This form is to be completed if you wish to nominate for selection in a Queensland team to attend the HA Return to Play Women’s Masters Invitational in Newcastle, to be held from Monday, 14th March to Friday 18th March 2022 in Newcastle. 

• HQ teams will be selected for each age group provided that there are sufficient nominations. Where there are sufficient nominations, selectors may select a second team in an age group.
• Current COVID requirements for Newcastle International Hockey Centre stipulate all players and officials MUST be double vaccinated. Please complete the additional form and upload your proof of vaccination here: https://www.hockeyqld.com.au/events/123146/
• Selectors will develop teams using the following preferential order:
  1. 2021 teams as at 21.7.21
  2. 2021 withdrawals 21.7.21
  3. 2021 shadow players 21.7.21
  4. 2021 unnamed nominees
  5. New nominations in 2022
• Clearances – as per Attachment L
  • Players will not be cleared to play in another team unless first nominating to represent HQ.
  • Players who are not selected in HQ teams will be eligible for clearance to other States or Territories and/or to combination teams organised by Hockey Australia Masters Committee

Player Commitment

• Selected players will be invoiced for a maximum of $135 to cover team entry, portion of team officials’ (Coach and Manager) expenses and training
• Players selected in a Qld team, must be assembled in Newcastle by 3.00pm on Sunday, 13^th March (training)
• Players must organise own travel and accommodation and transport while in Newcastle
  • Physios/Sports’ Trainers will not accompany the teams. Players will need to organise and pay for any treatment
• All HQ teams will wear the official playing strip from 2018, 2019 and 2021. Players may wear BLK or Just Hockey socks. HQ BLK track suits are optional for new players. New uniforms can be ordered until 3rd December.
• By Monday 10 January 2022 all team personnel MUST have submitted their COVID 19 vaccination certificate
• NB Selection for Australian Teams at this time is uncertain.
• Nominations Close 10am Tuesday 16^th November.

Nomination Information

• The $10.00 nomination fee is non-refundable
• Late nominations, and nominations which do not include payment of the nomination fee, will not be accepted by Hockey Queensland
• Selections weill be completed on Sunday, 20th Febraury and selected players will be informed shortly after.
• All team players must confirm their position in their team by Monday 28^th February. Players who have not confirmed by that date may be replaced.
• Players must pay the invoice of their entry fee by Monday 28^th February.
