Hockey Queensland Men's Masters Committee has decided that in 2022 all Coach, Manager and Selectors positions will be made vacant and all interested parties are required to nominate for the roles. 

Whilst we acknowledge that 2021 appointments missed out again due to the COVID pandemic a number of people have changed age groups etc and which makes it difficult to re-appoint directly again this year.  For 2022 we have introudced a selction criteria that if all things are equal between two nominees and one was a 2021 appointed Coach / Manager than the 2021 Coach / Manager would be appointed. This is out of respect to the fact that they missed out on the last two years of Coaching.  

We have updated the Player Selection Policy and also introduced a Coaches Selection Policy for 2022. All prospective nominees should familiarise yourself with these documents which are included at this link

You will need to include your experience/qualifications for the position and indicate your preferred team(s).

Non Playing Coaches are preffered but not essential. A coach is automatically named as a Selector if attending the Champiosnhips except player coaches (refer Selection Policy ) 

All managers must be non-playing as per tournament rules. Following the National Championships each manager is expected to complete a confidential report indicating successes and problems encountered with the team and in carrying out the role.  On submission of this report and provided that the responsibilities of the role have been satisfactorily completed a payment of $400 will be made in appreciation of your contribution to the team and to Queensland Mens Masters.  Click Here for the Managers Guidelines and responsibilities .

Selectors must be able to attend the State Championship / Carnival for the age group they are selecting. (2022 HQ event calendar)
