Hockey Queensland Academy
The Hockey Queensland Academy is designed to provide year-round development programming for Queensland-level athlete aged 15-18 years.
The Hockey Queensland Academy Squad is comprised of athletes selected into the QLD Under 16 and Under 18 Teams and Shadows - by invite on a year-to-year basis.
Academy programming comprehensively covers a range of development areas, including:
- Technical & Tactical Hockey Development
- Personal Development
- Strength & Conditioning
- Athlete Mental Wellbeing
- Nutrition
Hockey Queensland will also tap into the extensive range of previous Australian athletes, and high-level coaches.
Development coaches from around the state will also be privy to education and opportunity to evolve.
In 2024, the HQA program includes selected teams to compete in International Competition in Malaysia - Mirnawan Cup and New Zealand - New Zealand Quad Series.
