Association & Club COVID19 Hub

This webpage is a one-stop-shop for our Clubs and Associations to find all of the information, resources, correspondence, and support during the COVID19 crisis.

Important Documents

This document is designed to assist Associations, Clubs, and hockey Facility Operators prepare their COVID Safe Plans and understand what is expected of them to train and open facilities under Stage 2 restrictions. Each entity is required to have a plan before they can return to play.
The guide also includes checklists (you can access editable version here).

Documents with handy tips and hints to restarting hockey have been created for our venue operators, clubs & associations, and coaches.

______

To help Clubs and Associations through these uncertain times, Hockey QLD has developed a checklist that includes essential actions that we recommend they undertake during this hockey hiatus. This checklist has already been emailed to Associations Friday morning, however, we encourage you to share this with any committee members that may not have seen it.  It is extremely important we have strong and financially healthy Clubs and Associations when this COVID-19 situation is over.

HQ have put together a Risk Management Template for our Associations to complete, which will assist you in identifying the impact of Coronavirus on your ability to return to play.

Following on from the Hockey Association and Club Response Plan COVID-19 document distributed to all Associations and Clubs, Hockey Queensland have elaborated on
points 13 and 14, to help you plan your communications through this time. The information in this document is designed to help you plan and execute a communications plan as simply
and easily as possible.

Good News Stories
Do you have someone in your community who is a ‘COVID19 Hockey Hero’? We want to hear about them! Think outside the box – they might be a doctor or nurse, but they might also be:
  • A different medical professional or staff member ie. Physio, psychologist, pathologist, scientific researcher, admin/receptionist, hospital orderly
  • Police, Paramedics, Counselors
  • Cleaners, retail or grocery staff
  • Carers of high-risk people
  • Volunteering their time or resources to support others

What we need from you:

  • 2 or 3 sentences on this person. Who they are, what role they play at hockey, how they are going above and beyond in the community.
  • A photo of this person (get a photo off Facebook with their permission)

Submit as many people as you like: the more good news, the better!

Send them to: DSturgess@hockeyqld.com.au
